How Riding Builds Community, Promotes Healthy Lifestyles
The Motorcycle Industry Council has launched a powersports initiative to get more people riding more. Part of the initiative has been to promote motorcycling as a commuting option, especially in these times when shared rides are discouraged, and promoting powersports as a way to recreate with family and friends while still being able to maintain social distancing. While COVID has forced many people to stay apart, powersports vehicles show there are ways to be "together" and form connections, while still being apart. Also, the industry has seen a spike in off-highway motorcycle sales (50%) and dual-purpose sales (21%), and there's a lot of anecdotal evidence from dealers that parents are buying dirt bikes and ATVs for kids so families can recreate together. While this is certainly some good news in these difficult times, there are also challenges ahead and we'll look at a few things the industry is doing to try to meet these challenges.

Today Jeanine considers herself a “Modern Midlifer” striving to be well in body, mind and spirit, and consults with companies like Wisdom Essentials in legal states, actively helping educate people about the benefits of the plant.
