Route 66 Charity Ride
April 20 – May 1
Riders for Autism and volunteers are riding historic Route 66 starting in Chicago, IL and ending in Los Angeles, CA to raise funds for autism research and treatment. They are doing this in support of Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital (a local Autism specialty group), Autism Speaks and other Affiliated Autism Groups. During the ride they will have nine separate events which will be hosted by Harley-Davidson dealers along the route (see schedule here https://www.ridersforautism.com/schedule

Garage-Girls Ultimate Biker Makeover 2018

The Garage-Girls Ultimate Biker Makeover is a well-established contest entering it’s 9th year offering an opportunity to a well deserving winner the chance to get “Hooked UP” from major supporting sponsors. Contestants must submit a 600 words or less essay – describing why they are most in need of a biker makeover. Deadline for entries is June 22nd, 2018. Submissions will be narrowed down to the final four by selected judges from Garage-Girls. From there, the judges decide who they feel most deserves the Ultimate Biker Makeover and the opportunity to take home all the prizes! Flock to the Rock

The Flock to the Rock brings women together to share a communal experience and provide riding inspiration. The event, now in its second year, includes seminars, inspiring speakers, and networking opportunities. This year’s featured speaker is Elspeth Beard, the first British woman to ride around the world on a solo motorcycle trip. Other speakers share their personal stories including Pat Jacques, founder of ADVWoman, who is a pioneer in motorcycling for racing in men’s motocross.

Women’s Motorcycle Tours: Awesome Appalachia Tour
May 18–27, 2018
Asheville, North Carolina
This all-women, all-paved tour for experienced riders starts in Asheville, North Carolina, and encompasses 9 days of riding through North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia, covering a good portion of southern Appalachia. The Cherohala Skyway, the Tail of the Dragon, the Back of the Dragon, and the Blue Ridge Parkway are just a few of the storied roads included. Some of the attractions include Deal’s Gap, Grandfather Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway, Marion, Virginia (the moonshine capital of Virginia), and Chimney Rock State Park. Lodging is higher-end.
