Happy New Year everyone! Over the Holidays I had a chance to re-read a book my father had given me when I was in my teens…Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah. It’s a book about adventure, friendships, and the illusions we hold about life.
My teenage-self held on to the adventure part–the protagonist flying his antique bi-plane around the Midwest, landing in open fields and giving people rides. No doubt Richard Bach’s tale was one of the many seeds of my wanderlust. I never got into flying, yet I was able to find my sense of freedom and adventure through riding motorcycles.
Wishing you the same sense of freedom and adventure plus a big slice of the Magic of the Road in 2017.

Polaris announced yesterday that it will close down Victory Motorcycles. They’ll continue to supply parts for a period of 10 years, along with providing service and warranty coverage to Victory dealers and owners. (Yesterday’s announcement does not affect any other Polaris business units.)
