Hi Everyone,

Adventure must be in the air because even as I’ve been packing for my trip to Cuba in the morning I’ve also starting to plan a month of summer riding in Croatia. Both countries have been calling me to explore them for years, and I decided this is the year I finally move forward on my dreams. If you’re new to making your dreams come true, and don’t know where to start, here it is grossly oversimplified:  speak your truth, set a date, get an accountability partner and GO!

I’ve always said that the hardest part of getting yourself on the road (when you’re excited but scared at the same time!) is pulling out of your garage. The rest of the trip just falls into place after that. Here’s where setting a date comes in as well as the accountability partner. Having a roll-out date sweeps away all the procrastination and makes you accountable to yourself. Otherwise the work, the worries, the excuses to put off doing what you know you want to do creep in and bugger you up.

The same applies to *anything* you want to accomplish, so if that special something is calling you, I hope you give in to your heart’s calling soon and set a date. You never know what will happen when you say YES! to your dreams. Wishing you miracles in whatever you choose to do, ~Alisa

Phillip Island Track record for Laura Brown

After an accident last year leaving Laura with a broken femur, she came in to Round 1 fit, strong and ready for the 2017 season.

This is a great start to the season of racing and definitely one to remember. The team now shifts its focus to testing at Wakefield Park. Team manager Warwick Nowland says “We are thrilled at Laura’s progress, although this was no surprise to us, we know Laura has the speed and the ability to race at the top level. We came to race and we broke the track record.

We are looking forward to Round 2 of racing at Wakefield Park Raceway, in Goulburn on 17th – 19th March 2017. Good Luck Laura!

Asphalt & Dirt – Life on Two Wheels

For the past three years Aaron Heinrich has interviewed over fifty motorcyclists for his popular web magazine, asphaltanddirt.com, dispelling the myth of the stereotypical “biker.” As these stories reveal, there is no one definition of what a motorcyclist is and that any description is as varied as the riders who make up the motorcycling community—no two are alike, other than their shared love of two wheels.

Here are the stories of motorcyclists that run the gamut of the motorcycling world, from well-known and famous to unknown and obscure, from builders and tinkerers to racers and tourers. Here are world-traveling adventurers and local riders, collectors and icons in the industry, motorcycle clubs to lone riders. Some are single, others are fathers or mothers, and still others are grandparents, and their passion covers from vintage days to modern times

Their stories are meant to inspire, amuse and shed some light on this world, and dispel society’s myopic stereotype of what it ultimately means to be a biker. Alisa is featured as one of the riders. See her picture top, right of the cover with her motorcycle in her hand? (This picture was taken at the Uyuni Salt Flats in Boliva while she was on her 7-month solo trip from NY to Argentina.)

For those who like real books, the texture of the paper, and the feel of turning a page, you can buy Asphalt & Dirt – Life on Two Wheels in print at Road Dog Publications for a mere $22.95. If reading by Kindle or Nook is more your speed, you can buy the e-version of Asphalt & Dirt – Life on Two Wheels at Amazon and at Barnes & Noble for $9.99.
